PRIVACY POLICY

The law protects the relationship between a client and a therapist.  Written permission is required before information can be disclosed except in the following situations:

​

  • Suspected child abuse or dependent adult or elder abuse.  The law requires that knowledge of such actions must be reported  to the appropriate authorities immediately.

  • Threatening serious bodily harm to another person/s.  Again the law requires that knowledge of such action be reported to both the police and the intended victim.

  • Suspected or threatened harm to self. Every effort will be made to ensure the client's safety. However,  further measures without their permission may be necessary.  The law requires preventative actions may be necessary to ensure the client's safety and well-being.
